The Department of Health and Education are teaming up to encourage school-aged children to get their flu shots. Young children are more susceptible to getting the flu virus which ends up killing 2,000 people per year in New York City.
The Health department in launching a pilot program that is offering free flu shots in 15 different elementary schools in New York City.
The Ads will be shown on subways from now to February. The Ads will be telling parents the importance of getting vaccinated. The schools will be offering the shots beginning December 9.
